Research, development & extension (RD&E) Commmittee
The primary role of Oysters Australia is to coordinate oyster industry research, development, and extension (RD&E) across Australia, and to ensure that usable outputs are provided to oyster businesses.
The Oysters Australia Research, Development & Extension Committee meets every quarter, with the following meeting dates set for 2026:

The RD&E Committee is chaired by the President of Oysters Australia and operates under a Terms of Reference. Members of the 2026 RD&E Commitee are: Patrick Hutchinson (Chair); Andy Myers; Robert Redmayne; Angus Rivett; Ian Duthie; Michel Bermudes; Gary Zippel; Marty Deveney; Duncan Spender and Lynlee Lowe.
CALL FOR PROJECTS:
There is currently not a call for priority projects, however Expressions of Interest can be submitted at any time.
EOI's should be submitted using this template, and emailed to management@oystersaustralia.org at least three weeks before a scheduled RD&E Committee meeting.
